Keystone Civic Association
ABOUT US
Keystone Civic Association (KCA) is one of the oldest and most active civic associations in Hillsborough county. Throughout the year we host meetings with guest speakers, organize social events and offer public forums for our residents to identify and seek clarity on issues impacting the Keystone, Odessa area. Together, we can work on solutions that are agreeable to the majority.
You are welcome to attend our meetings, held on the fourth Thursday of every month with the exception of July, November and December.
Our meetings are held at the Keystone Park & Civic Center, 17928 Gunn Highway, Odessa.

We Support our Community
As a resident of Keystone, you likely understand the area's unique character and value the rural, residential lifestyle. Our community has a strong Keystone Odessa Community Plan that seeks to preserve and protect the identity and vision of our community. Our plan aims to protect the Keystone-Odessa community so that it will continue to be a rural community, embracing its agricultural past. Its continuing desire is to be an open area that: values nature above commercialism; dark, star-filled skies at night above the glare of urban lights; and, the sound of crickets and frogs above traffic noise. The strategy also focuses on limited commercial development and very specific location criteria. Our wetlands quality, open space, environment, wildlife, and natural systems will always be prioritized. However, the many large parcels, private lakes, public trails, equestrian and agricultural businesses are second only to our friendly neighbors. We are and always have been a rural community since Odessa Keystone's inception in 1884.

To preserve this paradise takes community-wide involvement to protect what we cherish from developers seeking to build out of character, large scale residential or commercial projects. It takes a dedicated group of residents to stay focused on land use so that development follows the Keystone Odessa Community Plan (KOCP). The KCA is a valuable resource for residents to engage in what is going on around you in the Keystone Odessa area, stay informed by maintaining an active membership.
If you value the tranquil nature that surrounds us and want to avoid the urban sprawl, join us. We strive to engage with residents during our KCA socials, meetings and philanthropic pursuits. Let's build a better community together, please join KCA today!
