We would love for you to join us at our first summer meetup at Three Brothers Pizza on June 11th from 4-6PM. Come in for food, drinks and family-friendly conversation. You can also pop in and say hi while picking up some take out from this local treasure.

Our guest speaker will be Rhonda Latour, a Senior Wildlife Assistance Biologist with the Division of Habitat and Species Conservation, Wildlife Impact Management Section of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. She will be discussing the increased prevalence of coyotes and their opportunistic habits. Learn how to better manage your own habits that may be enticing coyotes but also why they are not a threat to humans.

Hillsborough County Wide Satisfaction Survey
Click here to weigh In to help the our county reassess satisfaction in key areas that impact resident’s lives, such as high-quality community assets, life enrichment and recreational opportunities, the local economy, public safety, and self-sufficiency programs for individuals and families. Hillsborough County Future Land Use – Goals 4 & 6 Meeting, June 10 @ 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm
On March 7th, the BOCC did not transmit Goals 4 and 6 of the Future Land Use Section update. The BOCC directed staff to revise specific content within each goal. Staff have made edits to the proposed policy language in Goals 4 and 6 and are presenting those edits to the community prior to going back to the BOCC for transmittal on August 8th. Staff appreciate the feedback already received from the community on the overall Future Land Use Section update and would like to continue the conversation with the community. Mosquito Spraying Awareness
You may have heard the plane flying Friday night at a low altutide while disbursing an ultra-low volume (ULV) spray application of an EPA registered insecticide targeting adult mosquitoes in order to prevent the spread of diseases. The decision to make an aerial adulticide application is based on surveillance data that includes mosquitoes collected by various trapping methods, mosquito pool and sentinel chicken results, and reports from the Florida Department of Health on suspected mosquito-borne disease cases in humans.
The decision to make an application is made on the same day the surveillance data is available. Thus, notice may come anywhere from a few hours up to 24 hours in advance. Sign up here to receive spray notifications. Enter your information after clicking requester page 1 and 2.
